On 28 October in Shri Ganganagar, an Indian Air Force career awareness programme was held, providing detailed recruitment information to about 600 students
Senior translation officer of the Air Force Selection Centre, Mr B.L. Meena, Sergeant Mr Arvind Kumar Rai and Mr Bhagoran Singh highlighted academic qualifications, exam pattern and selection stages. They said the age limit for Agnivir posts has been raised from 21 to 22 years
Recruitment criteria and application process
Officials said candidates with a minimum of 50 % marks in class 12 and 50 % in English can apply on the recruitment portal (https://iafrecruitment.edcil.co.in/). Additional marks are awarded for presenting NCC A, B, C certificates

- Academic minimum: 50 % in class 12 overall and 50 % in English
- Additional marks: based on NCC certificate
During the programme students’ queries were answered and awards were given to those who answered correctly. Inspiration was also provided on ethical values, student responsibilities and duties to society
