On 6 November, the Government College, Bundi, organized an online lecture on e‑waste management under ‘Mission Life’. The event featured regional officer Ashok Kumar Jelia of the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board and principal Rahul Sakena of the college.
Jelia highlighted the environmental and health problems caused by e‑waste and stressed the need for scientific and safe disposal. He said that collective participation in proper management, reuse and recycling of e‑waste is the demand of the times.
College’s appeal
Principal Sakena urged students to use electronic devices wisely, repair old devices and reuse them, and to send e‑waste only to authorised collection centres. He wished everyone a happy Diwali, adding that small personal efforts can lay the foundation for major environmental change.
