Police Superintendent Abhishek Andasu announced a ₹25 reward for Naresh Meena in Baran district over alleged assault on forest workers and generator theft.
Under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent Ramand Yadav, a raid was carried out on a farm house in Gundlai village; Naresh Meena escaped. Two of his associates were arrested in a Thar vehicle at the same time.
Police Action
Police formed several teams to arrest Naresh Meena and kept pressure on his possible hideouts. Police stations in Chhibrda, Chhipabado, Ataru, Mothpur and Kawai carried out separate raids, but the leader was not located.
Deputy Superintendent Ramand Yadav appealed to the public not to shelter Naresh Meena and urged him to surrender to the police. He said the accusations should be answered through legal process.
Political Background
Naresh Meena began his political career in student politics at Rajasthan University, later joined the Congress and contested the 2023 assembly election as an independent candidate from Chhibrda seat, where he received 44,000 votes. He is now establishing his identity as a supporter of the Bahujan Samaj Party.
