1. Independence
- Times of Rajasthan is an independent digital news platform with no affiliation to any other media group.
- No advertiser, political party or outside interest decides our coverage. Sponsored content is always clearly labelled "Sponsored".
2. Accuracy and fact-checking
- Every fact comes from a credible source — government orders, officials, court records, police or published reports.
- Allegations are reported as allegations. Nobody is called guilty before a court rules.
- Numbers, names, dates and quotes are checked before publication. What we cannot confirm, we do not publish.
3. Sources and attribution
- Every story is checked against credible sources — government documents, officials, court records and published reports — and a record of each source is kept by our desk.
- We do not copy other publishers’ sentences or photographs. Stories are written in our own words.
- Anonymous sources are used only when the information is in the public interest and the editor knows the source.
4. Ethics and the law
- We never identify victims of sexual offences or minors (in line with the BNS and the POCSO Act).
- Suicide reports never describe the method and include a helpline (Tele-MANAS 14416).
- We avoid language that is inflammatory, communal, demeaning or sensational.
- We follow the Code of Ethics under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
5. Corrections policy
- When we get something wrong we fix it as quickly as possible, and add a note to the story for significant corrections.
- Report an error with the "Report an error" link under every story, or by email to our corrections desk.
6. Grievance redressal
- Complaints under the IT Rules, 2021 go to our Grievance Officer. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days.
