Essay and quiz competitions on voter awareness will start in Churu’s educational institutions on November 13, organised under the direction of District Election Officer Abhishek Surana as per Election Commission of India guidelines
Nodal officer of the sweep cell, Shweta Kochhar, said the first stage will be held at institution level from Nov 16‑23, the second stage at assembly‑segment level from Dec 8‑12 and the third stage at district level from Dec 14‑18; final results and certificate distribution will take place between Dec 19‑22
Competition format
In the essay competition participants must write on either ‘Importance of the clean voter list’ or ‘Importance of voting’, while the quiz will be based on questions set by the ECI. Medium of expression may be Hindi, English or the local language
Organisation process
The district election officer has issued detailed guidelines to all voter‑registration officers, education officers and college principals. Selected students from each stage will advance to the next level, and the top ten students in the final stage will receive certificates
- First stage: Nov 16‑23 – institution level
- Second stage: Dec 8‑12 – assembly‑segment level
- Third stage: Dec 14‑18 – district level
- Results and certificate distribution: Dec 19‑22
