Shri Ganganagar, 2 November – As per the State Election Commission, general arrangement duties were assigned to various officials to ensure the successful conduct of the 2026 Panchayati Raj general elections in the district
District Collector and District Election Officer Dr. Amit Yadav said that the supervising engineer and the chief engineer of PWD were given responsibility for setting up strong rooms, vote counting halls, barricading, booth‑by‑booth plans for polling agencies, displaying charts, allowing polling agencies to move, collecting, and vote‑counting related tasks
Other responsibilities
The supervising engineer of the Water Supply Department was assigned water supply duties, the supervising engineer of Jodhpur Electricity Distribution Corporation Ltd. was assigned uninterrupted power supply duties, the chief engineer of the Municipal Development Trust, the Municipal Council Commissioner, the Tehsildar Election Officer, the Additional Administrative Officer of the District Election Branch, and the supervising engineer of the District Council were also assigned general arrangement duties related to the election
