For temporary accommodation of district council and panchayat samiti members in the 3 November 2026 Panchayati Raj elections, the State Election Commission acquired several dharmshalas and buildings in Shri Ganganagar district.
District Election Officer and District Collector Dr. Amit Yadav said voting will be held in Shri Vijayanagar, Suratgarh and Rajiasar panchayat samiti areas in this phase, while polls for sarpanch and panch positions are scheduled for 5 November.
Acquired sites
In Suratgarh, the Agarsen Building/Dharmshala near the new bus stand; in Shri Vijayanagar, the Satyanarayan Temple Dharmshala; Dada Pammaram Dharmshala; and in Rajiasar, Mahatma Gandhi Government School Pipasar, the Kanversen Lift Canal Guest House near Rajiasar station, and Class‑6 of the Government College Birmani were acquired from 2 November to 6 November.
Dr. Amit Yadav said the concerned returning officer and all block‑level officials have been instructed to take necessary action.
