The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), in collaboration with its central public sector undertakings (CPSUs) and autonomous institutions, is actively implementing Special Campaign 6

The ministry and its affiliated organisations have achieved about 60‑70% progress against set targets. This includes ongoing efforts in cleanliness, efficient record management, optimal use of office space and resolution of pending matters

Key activities include cleanliness drives in offices, corridors and canteens; review and sorting of physical records; removal of unused materials and identification and disposal of e‑waste as per guidelines

The ministry, its two CPSUs – Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) and Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) – and three autonomous institutions – National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), National Institute of Wind Energy (NIWE) and Sardar Swarn Singh National Bio‑Energy Institute (SSS‑NIBE) – are actively participating in the campaign

The campaign, launched by the Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances Department (DRPG), aims to institutionalise cleanliness in government offices and minimise pending matters. Its implementation began on 2 October 2026 and will continue until 31 October 2026

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy is committed to achieving the set targets by 31 October 2026 and to maintaining a culture of cleanliness, accountability and efficient workplace management even after the campaign ends
