Indian Railways is actively participating in Special Campaign 6 running from October 2 to October 31, 2026. As the campaign nears its October 31 closure, Indian Railways has crossed several key targets, contributing significantly to the Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Cases (SCDPM‑6) with major achievements in cleanliness, scrap disposal, e‑waste management, clearance of pending cases and process simplification.
As a major people‑centric initiative, a Rail Passenger Dialogue was held on October 22, 2026 at 5,884 stations across the country to enable direct interaction with passengers and gather their feedback and suggestions on cleanliness, amenities and service delivery. Railway Board Chairman and CEO Shri Satish Kumar met stakeholders in New Delhi, while the Secretary of DARPG participated in the program at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Mumbai. The initiative provided an opportunity to identify local issues and take appropriate follow‑up actions to improve passenger services.
With Special Campaign 6 ending on October 31, 2026, Indian Railways continues to focus on strengthening achievements and maintaining best practices adopted during the campaign, emphasizing cleanliness, efficient resource management, timely clearance of pending cases and better passenger services.
