On Thursday at Ajmer Dargah, 50 pilgrims from Hoshiarpur, Punjab laid a velvet sheet and prayed for Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan’s health and also for peace in the nation

The pilgrims offered a sheet and devotional flowers at the shrine of Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chishti (Khwaja Garib Nawaz). During the ceremony, Bollywood veteran Saiyad Kutubuddin Sakhi performed the jiaraat, tied the dastar and presented a tabarruk

Pilgrims’ prayers and purpose

The pilgrims said they have come to Khwaja Garib Nawaz’s court to pray for the safety of all people, peace in the country and brotherhood. They specifically wished for Amitabh Bachchan’s quick recovery so he can regain his health soon

The pilgrims placed a velvet sheet and devotional flowers on the shrine, after which Saiyad Kutubuddin Sakhi completed the jiaraat ritual. Following the jiaraat, the veteran tied the dastar and handed out tabarruk to participants
