On 4 November in Shri Ganganagar city, action was taken with a prompt raid on illegal petrol‑diesel sales and domestic gas cylinder misuse as per the directions of District Collector Dr Amit Yadav.
Logistics officer Mrs Pooja Agrawal said that 31 litres of petrol and 12 plastic bottles were seized from Royal Shop, lane 3, Indira Colony, and 115 litres of petrol, 3 plastic cans and 3 cups were seized from lane 6, Ramdev Temple Road.
Action on domestic gas cylinder misuse
One domestic gas cylinder each was seized from Satpal Halwai, lane 7, Indira Colony; Balaji Sweets, SSB Road; Barad Foods, Sector 17 market; and Huzur Sweets and Restaurant, lane 10. A total of 4 cylinders were seized.
A total of 146 litres of petrol and 4 domestic gas cylinders were seized. The seized material will be presented to the relevant court under Section 6‑A of the Essential Commodities Act.
During the operation, the supply vehicles of gas agencies were also inspected promptly and the cylinders were weighed. Present were Mr Dharmapal, enforcement inspector, Padampur, and Mr Mohan Singh Chauhan, additional administrative officer.
