On 4 November, the Food Safety Department, led by additional District Collector Sohan Singh Naruka, inspected Bahrod and seized and destroyed 510 kg of gulab jamun, 200 kg of cream and 550 litres of contaminated milk along with other suspect food items
During the inspection of Messrs. Sanvariya Milk Foods and Messrs. Krishna Rasgulla Bhandar, 10 kg of synthetic‑coloured rasgulla, 80 kg of milk cake and 65 kg of synthetic‑coloured rasgulla were also destroyed
Improvement notice and further action
Both establishments were issued improvement notices for deficiencies in food‑safety standards and hygiene arrangements. Food samples will be sent to the laboratory and, upon receipt of the report, further action will be taken as per regulations
- Messrs. Sanvariya Milk Foods had 510 kg of gulab jamun and rasgulla and 200 kg of cream seized
- 10 kg of synthetic‑coloured rasgulla and 80 kg of milk cake destroyed
- 550 litres of contaminated milk and 50 kg of contaminated cream destroyed
- 65 kg of synthetic‑coloured rasgulla and 65 litres of contaminated milk destroyed
