Boondi, 27 October – To curb road accidents and strengthen traffic management, a road safety committee meeting was held on Tuesday chaired by District Collector Harphool Singh Yadav.
In the meeting, the Collector directed officials that no negligence be shown at any level in road safety work and that information on district accidents be mandatorily uploaded regularly on the ‘e-Daar’ portal.
Key directives
• Immediate steps to reduce accidents at black spots and to sensitize vehicle drivers.
• Stray animals to be removed, taken to the nearest gaushalas, and released only after fine collection.
• Clearance of roadside vegetation and issuance of tickets as per law against illegally parked trucks and buses.
• Ensure adequate lighting in urban areas at night to prevent accidents.
• Prepare and submit a swift proposal for a bus stop and foot‑over‑bridge construction on NH‑52 opposite the medical college and take necessary action.
