Stick-and-baton violence over parking dispute at Kota MBS Hospital

A dispute over parking arrangements in the Kota MBS Hospital campus led some youths to assault a parking staff member with sticks and batons.

According to Bhagwat, partner of parking stand operator Mohammad Yunus, illegally parked vehicles in the no‑parking zone were removed and shifted into the parking area.

When the parking staff tried to collect a fine of 50 rupees, the youths hurled abuse and called 10 to 15 accomplices to attack with sticks and batons.

Victim's injuries

In the attack, the victim's one hand was fractured, and serious injuries were sustained to the head, neck and body.

Legal steps

Bhagwat and the staff lodged a complaint at the police station after the incident.

Parking rules

The regulations provide for a fine of 50 rupees for removing a vehicle from a no‑parking zone.
