Swavlamban Foundation will hold the “Umang‑Khushiyon Ka Mela” in Raja Park, Pali on 8 December. More than 1,000 disabled children from various states across India will attend, with all facilities provided free of charge.

According to the fair organisers, activities such as balloon shoot, buzzer games, live tattoo, ATV bike, teeth bucket, clown show, Mickey Mouse, trampolin and New Bubble House will be available for children’s entertainment. A special selfie corner will also be set up for children to capture memorable moments.

Facilities and security

The entire venue will be made accessible for children with mobility challenges and wheelchairs will be provided. CCTV cameras will be installed throughout for security. Every disabled child participating in the fair will receive a gift.

Partners and volunteers

More than 100 volunteers and representatives of over 50 NGOs will assist the event. Preparations are underway for traffic, food, security and other arrangements given the large crowd.

History

Swavlamban Foundation launched the fair at district level in 2017, followed by a regional edition in 2018 and a state‑level event in 2019. The 2022 edition was recorded in the Asia Book of Records as Asia’s largest fair for disabled children.
