On Saturday evening on the occasion of Deepotsav in Ajmer, the Municipal Corporation lit 1.25 lakh earthen lamps for the first time at Anasagar Chaupaty and the pathway. Attractive fireworks were also displayed near the Anasagar jetty, which a large number of city residents arrived to witness.
Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani, Municipal Corporation Mayor Anamika Sharma, District Collector Lok Bandhu, Corporation Commissioner Gaurav Budania, Deputy Mayor Hemant Sankhla, and BJP City District President Ramesh Soni, along with several officials and public representatives, attended the program. Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani praised the event.
Decoration based on Ayodhya theme and a 9-km radius
Following the lighting of lamps, an exhibition of fireworks was organized by the corporation near the jetty at the pathway at 7 pm, which was enjoyed by the residents. District Collector Lok Bandhu and Corporation Commissioner Gaurav Budania were also present at this Deepotsav along with their families.
Inmates of high-security prison showcase their talent
Jailer Rajaram had provided the necessary materials for these art pieces. The prison administration states that such creative activities keep the mental state of inmates positive and provide them an opportunity to showcase their hidden talent.
