On 26 October, Boondi’s Sakhi One‑Stop Centre reunited a woman from Mandsaur who had been missing for about eight days with her family, bringing tears of joy to the relatives

According to centre manager Heena Sharma, police found the woman wandering barefoot on the road during patrol and brought her to the centre. The woman was frightened and could not give clear information about herself, so the centre provided emotional support, essential facilities and temporary shelter

Reunion process

Heena Sharma and her team conducted continuous counselling, during which the woman disclosed that she is a resident of a village near Mandsaur district in Madhya Pradesh. Based on this information the relatives were traced. The relatives said the woman had been missing for the past eight days and they had been searching for her continuously

When the family was informed they reached the Sakhi Centre, where they were emotionally moved upon seeing their daughter. With the help of the centre team the reunion with the family was made possible
