Churu, 4 Nov – The Labour Department has issued a directive to all employers, managers, industrial establishments, shops, commercial institutions and outsourcing and contract agencies in the district to pay the bonus due under the Wage Code before Diwali

Labour Welfare Officer Prashant Jhaazadia said that under Section 26(1) of the Wage Code, 2019 each eligible institution must pay the bonus within the prescribed time frame

Main purpose of the directive

The directive aims to ensure that the working class can celebrate the festival with their families in joy on the occasion of Diwali

If the bonus is not paid, legal action will be taken against employers under the prevailing laws and regulations

Who are the beneficiaries

According to the directive, all employers in the district are required to pay the bonus to their eligible workers and employees

  • All eligible workers under the Wage Code, 2019
  • Employees of all industrial establishments and shops
  • Employees of outsourcing and contract agencies
