Jaipur Vidyut Vitaran Nigam (JVVNL) has made extensive preparations to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply during Diwali in Jaipur. Control rooms will be set up at the block level from 6 to 11 November to resolve complaints swiftly

The company carried out intensive maintenance of 153 33 kV sub‑stations, 238 feeders, 1,424 11 kV feeders, 373 power transformers and 18,638 distribution transformers over a campaign lasting almost two months. Field improvement work was also carried out as required

Increase in load capacity in the South Circle

In the Jaipur City Circle (South), the capacity of seven power transformers was increased from 5 MVA to 8 MVA and 24 new distribution transformers were installed, raising total load capacity by 31 MVA. Six 11 kV and four 33 kV new feeders were added, reducing tripping and voltage problems

New facilities in the North Circle

Maintenance was carried out on 71 33 kV grid sub‑stations, 127 feeders, 670 11 kV feeders and 8,879 distribution transformers in the North Circle. Four new 33 kV and 22 new 11 kV feeders were installed, 306 distribution transformers added and a new 33/11 kV sub‑station commissioned

Special arrangement for complaint resolution

Senior engineer Manoj Gupta (South) and D. K. Pundir (North) said that from 6‑11 November all 220/132 kV sub‑stations will have senior and assistant engineers on duty, and 33/11 kV sub‑stations will have junior engineers and technical staff on duty
