Bikaner Development Authority (BDA) has set up grand electric decorations and theme‑based lighting at 42 key spots in the city for Diwali
A decoration competition among tent traders will also be organised under this initiative, with prizes and certificates of appreciation for first, second and third place winners
Details of the decoration competition
Commissioner Mrs. Snehil Dhayagude Nana said tent traders have been assigned responsibility for one, two or three sites
BDA has formed three‑member evaluation teams that will inspect all 42 sites from 7 pm on 6, 7 and 8 November
The evaluation will be based on four criteria: quality and appeal of decoration, theme‑based electric lighting, tent size and spread, and innovation and novel experiments, each allotted 25 points
Prizes and recognition
Participants securing first, second and third place will receive awards and will be honoured at the district‑level Republic Day ceremony
All participating tent traders and related staff will be given certificates of appreciation
Public participation
BDA urges city residents to visit the decoration sites with their families after 7 pm on 6‑8 November and enjoy the initiative
