Jaipur, 29 October. Jaipur Police will install ‘Know Your Police Beat’ QR Code based beat awareness boards to improve coordination between the public and police and provide citizens with easy access to information about their beat police and related officers. This initiative will enable the public to connect directly with their local police, contact as needed, and obtain police-related information
On Thursday, Police Commissioner Mr. Sachin Mittal launched the ‘Know Your Police Beat’ QR Code based beat awareness board at Jaipur Police Commissioner's office. He explained that each beat has a dedicated QR code and corresponding awareness boards. Seven to ten boards will be installed in each beat area at suitable locations so that more citizens can benefit. Mr. Mittal said the initiative will begin with Manasrover police station and then, in phases, be rolled out across all police stations in Jaipur Police Commissionerate. He added that scanning the QR code on each board will display the beat details, police station address, Google location, and contact numbers of the relevant DCP, ADDNL. DCP, ACP, SHO, and beat officer
The feature of this system is that even if a police officer is transferred or promoted, scanning the QR code will display the new officer’s name and contact number. This makes it easier for citizens to get updated contact details and avoid inconvenience caused by outdated information. The aim of the initiative is to simplify, make accessible, and make communication between police and public more effective, and strengthen police-public participation
The program was attended by Mr. Omprakash, Special Police Commissioner, Dr. Ajay Singh, Additional Police Commissioner (Law & Order), Mr. Pradeep Mohan Sharma, Additional Police Commissioner (Traffic & Administration), Dr. Rameshwar Singh, Additional Police Commissioner (Crime), Mr. Yogesh Goyal, Police Magistrate (Crime), Mr. Rajarshi Raj, Police Magistrate (South), Mrs. Anushtha Kaliya, Police Magistrate Headquarters, and other officials
