• Society’s welfare, philanthropy, truth and noble deeds are also yajna
  • "Nasha-Mukt Bharat" Mahayaj becomes our collective resolve – Governor

Jaipur, 30 October. Governor Shri Haribhau Bagde said that yajna is linked to renunciation, dedication and offering. In Vedic tradition, yajna is not limited to offering ghee and mantras into fire. Society’s welfare, philanthropy, truth and noble deeds are also called yajna. He urged everyone to participate in the "Nasha-Mukt Bharat" Sankalp Yajna for building a new India.

On Friday, Shri Bagde addressed the 501 Kundiya Samskar Mahayaj Nasha-Mukt Bharat Sankalp Program organized under the joint auspices of the India Development Council and Arya Youth Society. He offered a sacrifice at the 501 Kundiya Mahayaj. Discussing ‘Veda Rahasya’ written by Maharshi Arvind, he said that yajna is the quest for truth, light and immortality. This Mahayaj also leads to positivity in life.

The Governor expressed concern over the rising trend of drug use among students in schools and colleges, saying that neighboring countries do not want India to progress rapidly. He said that India moves forward on the trust of its youth and people. Hence, neighboring countries send drugs not to earn money but to weaken the nation.

He said that the central government runs the 'Nasha-Mukt Bharat' program to prevent the country from falling victim to conspiracies of neighboring states. He said that the new India will act against factors that weaken the nation. He said that the new India will manufacture indigenous products for self-reliance. The new India will rapidly advance in the global economy.

The Governor called for action in the light of the new education policy to connect youth with India’s ancient and glorious history and culture. He urged continuous awareness by the India Development Council to make society drug-free. He also praised the work done by India Development for Nasha-Mukt Bharat.

Governor Shri Bagde had earlier honored institutions and distinguished persons who have done excellent work for Nasha-Mukt Bharat. On this occasion, students from DAV School performed cultural presentations.
