Special commemorative stamp on breast cancer awareness

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in India, with about two lakh new cases reported each year. The Government of India has reinforced population‑based screening and early detection initiatives under the National Programme for Prevention and Control of Non‑Communicable Diseases. Screening services are provided through Ayushman Bharat health centres and community health centres, with referral facilities and treatment available at district and tertiary care hospitals.

The Postal Department, in collaboration with Fortis Hospital, organized awareness sessions on breast and cervical cancer and also conducted interactive sessions on basic life support (BLS) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) at the Postal Building, thereby promoting preventive health care awareness and knowledge of essential life‑saving techniques.

The special souvenir sheet is available for sale across India through the Philately Bureau and the e‑Post Office portal.
