This partnership demonstrates India Post and UTI Mutual Fund’s joint commitment to broaden access to financial services across the country. Under the ‘Know Your Customer’ pan‑India KYC verification project, India Post will use its vast postal network and last‑mile connectivity to provide verification at investors’ doorsteps, including remote and underserved areas. The initiative aims to make the verification process more convenient while complying with regulatory requirements.

Building on the earlier KYC improvement initiative (which helped investors complete pending KYC, improve compliance and bridge document gaps), this expanded collaboration is expected to provide better service to investors, increase participation in mutual funds and facilitate seamless access to mutual fund investments. The initiative further strengthens India Post’s role in delivering accessible, customer‑centric financial services through its extensive nationwide network.
