Under the BRICS Sustainable Lifestyle Week, the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board will organize a state-level e-waste collection workshop and collection drive on November 6 at the Rajasthan International Centre (RIC) in Jaipur. The event will be presided over by Chief Secretary V. Srinivas.
Board Member Secretary Kapil Chandrawal stated in a press conference held on Thursday that amid the rising use of electronic devices in the digital age, the scientific management of e-waste has become a major environmental challenge. Improper disposal of mobile phones, laptops, and other obsolete devices affects soil and water. Through the workshop, awareness will be raised regarding the segregation, safe collection, and recycling of e-waste.
