24 personnel have been issued show-cause notices for showing negligence in election duties during the Panchayati Raj General Elections-2026 in Churu. This action was taken under the directions of District Election Officer and District Collector Abhishek Surana.
According to the Information and Public Relations Department, Polling Team Formation Cell In-charge Officer and CEO Shweta Kochar stated that these personnel were absent without any prior approval in the final training held on 02 November 2026. This has been considered as a violation of official duty orders and serious negligence towards official responsibilities.
Explanation to be given within three days
All concerned personnel have been directed to submit their written explanation within three days of receiving the notice. Disciplinary action will be taken if the reply is not given within the stipulated time or if the explanation is not found satisfactory.
According to the administration, strict disciplinary action will be taken against these personnel violating rules under Rule 17 CCA of the Rajasthan Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules 1958, the complete responsibility of which will lie with the personnel themselves.
