Bundi District Collector Harphool Singh Yadav inspected the Gendoli and Faulai lift irrigation projects in Bundi district. During this, he took stock of the technical works of the project and gave directions to the officials.
The District Collector directed to complete the remaining testing work soon so that water flow in the irrigated area can be ensured. He asked the Superintending Engineer of JVVNL Circle Bundi to immediately deploy technical staff at the power house, who will effectively monitor the power supply.
Functionality of the project and irrigation system
During the inspection, the Collector observed the intake well, pump house, solar plant and power house. Sher Singh Mehla, Executive Engineer of Water Resources Division Bundi, informed that a total of 25,000 bighas of land is to be irrigated through 20 diggis in the project.
For the convenience of farmers, one outlet has been provided for every 50 bighas, through which farmers will be able to irrigate with sprinklers. Currently, the testing work of 9 diggis has been completed and water flow has been started in the fields.
